DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents\,Assalam Alaiqum.As is our school’s tradition\, during the fall semester\, we normally organize a field trip with our students to enhance their learning\, Islamic spirit\, community service and to build leadership skills.  This year because of the hurricane\, we are a little off the calendar\, but alhamdulliah we have now organized a project for the interested students.1. When: Saturday\, November 11\, 11 am – 2 pm (must leave at 10 am)2. What:  Help feed the poor at the ICNA Relief Houston Food PantryAddress – 5645 Hillcroft Avenue\, #405\, Houston\, TX 770363. Travel Plans: Inshallah on Saturday (Nov 11) morning\, we will assembly at 10 am at the Cypress masjid parking lot; take stock and decide who is riding with whom and then leave for Hillcroft in a caravan of vehicles.  Please come on time so that we can leave on time.   After about 2 hours of work at the site\, we will head back home\, stopping for lunch on the way (there are a number of options in Hillcroft).4. Eligibility – they have requested the child to be 10 years or older; however\, if the parent is also attending\, we can take a few younger children also.5. Cost: we are assuming it will take roughly $10 per person/child for lunch..  So\, we will collect this amount before we start for the field trip.We believe these are important opportunities to serve the community and educate our children.  Also\, this is a very important part of their Islamic education.If you are interested (we could use some parent volunteers as well)\, please send us an email on how many children from your family would participate.For questions\, please contact one of us:Br. DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION CONTINUES AND FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL\, AUGUST 28\, 2016 – 9:30 AM -2:00 PM \nRegistration is required for all returning as well as new students.  The tuition is to cover the costs of the school – free lunch\, books\, library\, supplies\, and stipends of a few teachers (who teach Arabic language).  Most of our teachers are volunteers.  Thanks to a host of engaged parent volunteers\, we are able to keep our costs down.  The tuition has not increased in the past two years. \nThe registration fee and other information is available when you come in.  Payment is accepted by checks and credit card.  Cash payments are also accepted.  Receipts are provided for all payments. Registration is essential so that we can anticipate and plan the classes and recruit adequate teachers. \nFor returning students (and parents) we will have an easier registration process. DESCRIPTION:Assalam Alaikum Dear Cypress Islamic Center Parents: \nWe hope you had a productive and restful summer with family and friends. \nWe want to welcome our children back to a new year at the Cypress Sunday School\, inshallah starting on August 28th  at 10:00 AM. \nREGISTRATION STARTS AUGUST 27\, 2016 – 12:00 – 2:00 PM \nREGISTRATION CONTINUES AND FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL\, AUGUST 28\, 2016 – 9:30 AM -2:00 PM \nRegistration is required for all returning as well as new students.  The tuition is to cover the costs of the school – free lunch\, books\, library\, supplies\, and stipends of a few teachers (who teach Arabic language).  Most of our teachers are volunteers.  Thanks to a host of engaged parent volunteers\, we are able to keep our costs down.  The tuition has not increased in the past two years. \nThe registration fee and other information is available when you come in.  Payment is accepted by checks and credit card.  Cash payments are also accepted.  Receipts are provided for all payments. Registration is essential so that we can anticipate and plan the classes and recruit adequate teachers. \nFor returning students (and parents) we will have an easier registration process. You do not need to fill out a new registration form\, simply sign a pre-filled form available at the registration desk. \nThe school schedule\, and module payment schedule can be found at http://cypressislamiccenter.org/sunday-school/The Cypress Weekend Islamic School enters its 4th year of operations with great expectations. \n  \nThe largely volunteer based school offers a unique learning experience for your children\, ages 4 and up\, through an innovative curriculum that focuses on the Quran (recitation\, memorization)\, Quranic Arabic\, Seerah\, Salat and Dua\, Adab and Islamic studies.  The students are evaluated at the time of admission\, and a few times through the year to ensure learning. \nABOUT THE SCHOOL: \nOur vision is to produce young Muslims who are knowledgeable and confident about their faith Islam\, and are also informed American citizens.  To this end we complement our traditional curriculum with field trips and activities to build leadership skills and community outreach. \n\n\nWe looking forward to an exciting year at the Cypress Weekend Islamic School. For questions\, please contact\, cypresssundayschool@gmail.com \nWassalam\, \nSunday School Management Team
