SUMMARY:Field Trip to ICNA Relief Houston
DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents\,Assalam Alaiqum.As is our school’s tradition\, during the fall semester\, we normally organize a field trip with our students to enhance their learning\, Islamic spirit\, community service and to build leadership skills.  This year because of the hurricane\, we are a little off the calendar\, but alhamdulliah we have now organized a project for the interested students.1. When: Saturday\, November 11\, 11 am – 2 pm (must leave at 10 am)2. What:  Help feed the poor at the ICNA Relief Houston Food PantryAddress – 5645 Hillcroft Avenue\, #405\, Houston\, TX 770363. Travel Plans: Inshallah on Saturday (Nov 11) morning\, we will assembly at 10 am at the Cypress masjid parking lot; take stock and decide who is riding with whom and then leave for Hillcroft in a caravan of vehicles.  Please come on time so that we can leave on time.   After about 2 hours of work at the site\, we will head back home\, stopping for lunch on the way (there are a number of options in Hillcroft).4. Eligibility – they have requested the child to be 10 years or older; however\, if the parent is also attending\, we can take a few younger children also.5. Cost: we are assuming it will take roughly $10 per person/child for lunch..  So\, we will collect this amount before we start for the field trip.We believe these are important opportunities to serve the community and educate our children.  Also\, this is a very important part of their Islamic education.If you are interested (we could use some parent volunteers as well)\, please send us an email on how many children from your family would participate.For questions\, please contact one of us:Br.
